Growing the catalog in steps

More listings mean more orders, more cash tied up and more to maintain. Add them at a pace you can support.

The limit is a planning tool

Your plan caps the number of listings per store. Rather than meeting that cap by surprise, work out when you will reach it from your weekly pace.

Net growth is what counts

Add what you publish and subtract what you retire. If both numbers are close, the count barely moves, however busy the week felt. The runway tool shows the weeks left at your net pace.

Add in batches and look back

Publish a batch, wait for the first sales, then check returns, stock-outs and delivery times before the next batch. Problems that appear at 500 listings are far cheaper to fix than at 5,000.

  • Retire listings that have not sold for a long time to free slots.
  • Check your cash balance whenever the weekly pace goes up.

Move up before you are stuck

If the runway is only a few weeks and you still plan to grow, consider the next plan now. Waiting until the cap blocks publishing means paused momentum.
